The search is still on for the identity of the young girl who was murdered, tied up stuffed in a “Ghana must go” sack and left to rot.
The lady who is believed to be in her early thirties was found dead Thursday morning at Atrama, near Buoho in the Afigya Kwabre District of the Ashanti Region.
No one seem to know who she is as residents claim she was found in a jute sack which had been lying in the outskirts of the town for days.
What drew their attention to the sack was the pungent stench it was emanating. This prompted them to check the content only to find the rotting remains of the deceased in the sack.
One of the residents recounted, “I saw the bag here last Sunday. I thought it belonged to someone so didn’t bother to find out. We later discovered some unpleasant smell around which triggered the search until we discovered the corpse in the bag”.
The district police command has since launched an investigation into the matter whilst the body of the deceased has since been deposited at the morgue for identification and preservation.
